Tai Chi at Topsham Brewery with Sam

Welcome! Tai Chi and breathing exercises can help us to feel calm and relaxed. The tai chi techniques can also help to create a good upright body posture and improve coordination and balance.

This is designed for complete beginners, but even seasoned practitioners should pick up something new. We will run through some tai chi exercises as well as breathing and meditation techniques. This will last for around 1 hour 30 minutes, then it’s time to grab some refreshments and meet some new people. Drinks will need to be paid for separately to the event.

Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder) is a high-school outcast in every sense of the word. PILATES WORKOUT CLASS WITH EMILY

Emily is a Level 4 Advanced Mat Pilates instructor with a background in contemporary dance. She brings a holistic, whole-body approach to her classes, welcoming all abilities and creating a space that is inclusive and warm. Her sessions focus on mindful breathwork, alignment and cultivating inner strength through accessible, thoughtful movement.

While classes are primarily mat-based, Emily often incorporates small equipment such as blocks, resistance bands and small balls – all of which will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mat, though there are a few spare for anyone who needs one. Emily is passionate about Pilates and dedicated to helping people reconnect with their bodies, breath and move with confidence.

First Yoga Class – 31st – March – 2025

After Leah’s first trip to India in 2008, she fell in love with the country and yoga. Captivated by the philosophy and yogic practices lead on to years of self enquiry and curiosity, she completed her 500hr Yoga teacher training with the Devon school of yoga in 2017.

Born in Devon and sticking to her roots, Leah teaches various styles of yoga around the county. These include Hatha, Restorative and Vinyasa yoga, In her unique and heartfelt style of teaching there is a deep emphasis on the power of healing through movement and breath. Resulting in the student having a sense of physical strength, emotional balance and connectivity.

Leah completed her eight-week mindfulness course in 2018, and began ‘The sounds of Sanskirt’ course in 2019, she also completed her kid’s yoga teacher training in 2019. Leah had planned a trip to Rishikesh in the North of India to complete another yoga teacher training course, but sadly, the trip was cancelled due to Covid- 19. In 2021 Leah had her first child, and since then has continued to teach classes, workshops and one to ones in the South west.
