Frequently Asked Questions

The quick answers to the things people ask us most, from dogs and parking to tickets and private hire.

Where are you and how do I get there?

We're on Exeter Quay, on the banks of the Exe, a short walk from Exeter Central station and an easy cycle or stroll along the quayside. There's street parking nearby, though it fills up on event nights, so leave a little extra time or come car-free if you can.

Do I need to book a table?

No, we don't take table reservations, it's first come, first served, so just turn up and grab a spot. For our ticketed event nights you'll need a ticket (you can get those here on the site), but for a casual pint you can always just drop in.

Are dogs welcome?

Always. Well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout the taproom and garden, and there is usually a water bowl and a fuss waiting for them.

Is there food?

Yes. Portal Pizza fire up fresh hand-stretched pizza from their truck right outside, and we offer our own catering for private hire and events too. There's always something good to line the beer, with proper options for veggies and vegans.

How do event tickets work?

Tickets for our nights are bought right here on the site. Once you check out, your confirmation email is your ticket, so just bring it along on the night, on your phone or printed. Popular events do sell out, so grab yours early.

What happens if an event sells out?

When a night is full you can join the waiting list on that event page. If a space frees up we work through the list in order, so it is well worth adding your name.

Can I hire the space for a private party?

You can, and it is one of our favourite things to do. Birthdays, wakes, work dos, launches and everything in between. Head to our private hire page to send an enquiry and we will come back with dates and options.

Can I buy your beer to take away?

Our beer is brewed just up the road and we love sending it home with people. Ask the team what is fresh, and keep an eye on the site as we add more to take away over the coming months.
