Who we are

This policy explains how Topsham Brewery (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and looks after your personal information when you use our website, buy tickets, enquire about private hire, apply for a job, or get in touch. We are the data controller for the information you give us.

The information we collect

We only collect what we need:

• Buying tickets: your name, email, phone and order details. Payment is handled securely by our payment provider, and we never see or store your card details.
• Private-hire enquiries and job applications: the details you enter on the form, including any CV or document you upload.
• Contacting us: your name, email and your message.
• Automatically: basic technical and usage information through cookies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use it

• To process your ticket orders and get you into the event.
• To reply to your enquiries and private-hire bookings.
• To consider your job application.
• To run, secure and improve our website.

Our legal basis

We process your information to fulfil a contract with you (your order or booking), because it is in our legitimate interest to run our business and respond to you, to consider your application at your request, and, where needed, with your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services that help us run the site and fulfil your order, such as our website host, our payment provider and the tools we use to send email. We never sell your data. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires (for example, order records for tax purposes). Job applications are kept for a reasonable period and then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to access the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and for data portability. To exercise any of these, just get in touch. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
