TOPSHAM BREWERY MOVIE NIGHT : STAND BY ME

Find your pennies, bring your best friends, and meet us by the tracks!

We’re screening Stand By Me, Rob Reiner’s coming-of-age classic about four kids, one summer, and a journey that’s about way more than what they set out to find. Based on Stephen King’s The Body, this one hits like a memory you forgot you had—full of jokes, fights, fears, and that feeling like everything matters when you’re twelve and the world hasn’t quite made sense yet.

Expect train dodging. Leech trauma. Campfire confessions. A nauseating pie eating contest. And a soundtrack that’ll have you humming “Stand by Me” all the way home.

Come for the story. Stay for the adventure. Because some friendships leave a mark, even if the summer fades.

As always, we have camping chairs, popcorn, sweets and of course lots of great beer!

Tickets only £5.50 – Limited seats available.

Doors  : 6.00pm — Film showing : 7.00pm

Thursday – 15th May – 2025.

Over 18’s – Ticket holders only.

In a small woodsy Oregon town, a group of friends–sensitive Gordie, tough guy Chris, flamboyant Teddy, and scaredy-cat Vern are in search of a missing teenager’s body. Wanting to be heroes in each other’s and their hometown’s eyes, they set out on an unforgettable two-day trek that turns into an odyssey of self-discovery.

They sneak smokes, tell tall tales, cuss ’cause it’s cool and band together when the going gets tough. When they encounter the town’s knife-wielding hoods who are also after the body, the boys discover a strength they never knew they had.
